In a world struggling with scarcity, the foundation believes that environmental conservation is the key to a better future and a greener planet. With the objective of creating awareness, Mobius Foundation has been spearheading various educational programs around the country. Mobius Foundation is setting up a residential green school in Coorg, Karnataka and a Day School in Atrouli Village, Uttar Pradesh. The Project “Aakar” is promoting population stabilization; Project “Sanjeevani” is a part of ecological conservation project undertaken by Mobius Foundation towards environmental sustainability.

 There are many other projects by Mobius Foundation in other sectors like Mobile Health Camps, School Support Programs, Solar Street Lights installation, Toilet Construction, Training & Awareness Program on food safety and natural farming practices.    Close            The Climate Reality Project india    In 2006 Climate Reality Project Chairman and former U.S. Vice President Al Gore sparked an international conversation on climate change with his Academy Award-winning documentary, An Inconvenient Truth. It was just the beginning of a climate revolution, and a year later he founded. The Climate Reality Project to take the conversation forward and turn awareness into action. The Climate Reality Project has branches in 10 countries and presence in more than 135 countries and has reached more than 70 million people with its message. The Climate Reality Project, India being an independent chapter of this international organization was established in March 2008. The Climate Reality Project, India, has been actively engaged igniting the spark and spreading the message of climate change amongst educators, policy makers and civil society.

   Close            UNESCO New Delhi    UNESCO New Delhi Office, the Organization's first decentralized Office in Asia was established in 1948. At its inception, it dealt with science and technology programmes in eleven South and Central Asian countries, i.e. Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Iran, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

 In time, it incorporated communication programmes, and still later expanded to include education and culture.As part of UNESCO's new decentralization policy, UNESCO New Delhi is presently designated as a Cluster Office and is a platform for delivery of activities in all areas of UNESCO’s competence, namely, education, the natural and social sciences, culture, communication and information. It implements a biennial Cluster programme that is integrated within itself and with the overall goals of the Organization. This is done through a fundamental operating principle - consultation and consensus with the National Commissions of the Member States, Regional Bureaus, civil society representatives, and other stakeholders and partners.

 The New Delhi Office is now mandated to cover six countries of South Asia -- Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka.UNESCO's programmes in Bangladesh and Nepal are implemented in consultation with UNESCO Offices in Dhaka and Kathmandu respectively.

 Earth Day Network, the organization leads Earth Day worldwide. Earth Day Network’s mission is to diversify, educate and activate the environmental movement worldwide. Growing out of the first Earth Day, Earth Day Network is the world’s largest recruiter to the environmental movement, working with more than 50,000 partners in nearly 192 countries to build environmental democracy. More than 1 billion people now participate in Earth Day activities each year, making it the largest civic observance in the world. We work through a combination of education, public policy, and consumer campaigns.

 The first Earth Day on April 22, 1970, activated 20 million Americans from all walks of life and is widely credited with launching the modern environmental movement. The passage of the landmark Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act and many other groundbreaking environmental laws soon followed. Twenty years later, Earth Day went global, mobilizing 200 million people in 141 countries and lifting environmental issues onto the world stage.

   Close            Grantham Institute – Climate Change and Environment    The Grantham Institute - Climate Change and Environment (formerly Grantham Institute for Climate Change) is one of five Global Institutes at Imperial College London and one of three Grantham sponsored centres in the UK. The Institute was founded in 2007 with a £12m donation from the Grantham Foundation for the Protection of the Environment, an organisation set up by Hannelore and Jeremy Grantham.

 The Institute brings together climate and global environmental change expertise from across the College for climate change related research and translation into real world impact.    Close            Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE)    Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE) aims to empower young people to take a stand on environmental issues they feel strongly about and to give them a platform to articulate these issues through the media of writing, photography or video.

 The programme offers these enthusiastic students a chance to make their voices heard and to feel that they are being listened to. The ultimate goal of the young reporters is to highlight environmental injustices and to have them righted by the appropriate authorities, but the upshot of this is that these young people get to feel like they can make a difference and hopefully the opportunities provided by YRE engenders in them the desire to continue to do so.

 As a part of the YRE programme, an annual international competition is held for the top articles, photos and videos produced by students over the year and the winning entries receive international recognition. YRE students also have the chance to participate in national and international conferences such as COP, World Environmental Congress, University Scholars Leadership Symposium to report on high level events and to further build their skills and network.

   Close             Society for Environment Education & Development (SEED)    SEED (Society for Environment Education & Development) is a voluntary organization contributing to the cause of environment, education and sustainability issues through a variety of activities and programmes. The mandate is to initiate innovative programmes and activities to promote conservation of environment and sustainable development in the society by combining principles of natural and social sciences to build the necessary social and human capital needed to address our most pressing environment and development challenges. SEED provides a platform for a variety of organizations and individuals and works through partnerships and networks utilizing their complementary strengths for synergistic convergence of ideas and goals and builds on strategic opportunities and facilities to address environmental, social and economic dimensions and implications of development.

   Close            Eco-Schools    Eco-Schools is a growing phenomenon, which encourages young people to engage in their environment by allowing them the opportunity to actively protect it. It starts in the classroom, it expands to the school and eventually fosters change in the community at large. Through this programme, young people experience a sense of achievement at being able to have a say in the environmental management policies of their schools, ultimately steering them towards certification and the prestige which comes with being awarded a Green Flag. The Eco-Schools programme is an ideal way for schools to embark on a meaningful path towards improving the environment in both the school and the local community while at the same time having a life-long positive impact on the lives of young people, their families, school staff and local authorities.

   Close            Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN)    The UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) has been operating since 2012 under the auspices of the UN Secretary-General. SDSN mobilizes global scientific and technological expertise to promote practical solutions for sustainable development, including the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Climate Agreement.

 The organization and governance of SDSN aims to enable a large number of leaders from all regions and diverse backgrounds to participate in the development of the network. The SDSN Leadership Council brings together global sustainable development leaders from all regions drawn from civil society, public, and private sectors. It acts as the board of SDSN. Much of SDSN’s work is led by National or Regional SDSNs, which mobilize knowledge institutions around the SDGs. Several Thematic Networks mobilize experts from around the world on the technical challenges of implementing the SDGs and the Paris Climate Agreement. SDSN has a small secretariat with offices in New York, New Delhi, and Paris.

   Close            Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots    The Roots & Shoots, Jane Goodall Institute’s youth humanitarian and environmental program, empowers people with the tools, motivation and support they need to address the problems that matter most to them.

 Roots & Shoots builds on Dr. Jane’s vision of placing the power and responsibility for creating solutions to challenges in the hands of young people. All around the world youth are exploring problems in their communities around animals, people and the environment, brainstorming solutions and creating projects that help to solve the problems. The Roots & Shoots is a program that’s different around the world, for example; a project that works for inner city kids in India is going to differ from a project in a remote town in Uganda.
